WHY THE PLANTS, SCOTT?
Born and raised in Canton, MI, Scott Graduated from Michigan state and pursued his career across the country, finally ending up working in San Francisco in 2018 working for Tesla as an engineer. After experiencing his own health struggles at age 30 and with his first baby on the way, he was desperate to find ways to improve his overall health and ensure he live a happy, healthy life with his son. A whole food, plant based diet low in salt, oil and sugar was the key and he has been espousing it’s benefits ever since.
Fast forward to 2023 and Scott’s father Jim would have a massive heart attack. The second in 20 years. After Jim underwent quintuple bypass open heart surgery, his fist solid meal he was given at the hospital was a plate of roast beef and powdered mashed potatoes…
After making the decision to follow the science and help his father, Scott took months away from his high pressure job and found a love for cooking for his father. Preparing a WFPB lunch and dinner everyday in his home and delivering it to his father (and often mother). Thankfully Jim made a full recovery….in about half the usual time, shocking his cardiologists. He also was able to bring his blood sugar levels down to that of a non-diabetic and lose 20+ pounds as well as improve almost all other markers of metabolic health.
